I-Ching is an Associate Professor of Life Sciences at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, and a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in Biology at Stanford University. Her research focuses on biological responses to climate change, underlying physiological mechanisms, and evolutionary adaptations. She also applies dendroclimatology to study the vulnerability of ecosystems under climate variability of the past millennium. She joins the Natural Capital Project to develop management strategies that maintain ecosystem services and allow organisms to track climates, focusing on Southeast Asia and tropical biodiversity hotspots. She holds a B.S. in Finance and M.S. in Zoology from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, and a PhD. in Biology from the University of York, UK.
